We wish to inform you that Cygnus students had recently participated in a drama competition having theme “भारतीय इितहास की वीर रानीया” organized by Bal Bhavan. A team of 8 students represented Cygnus World School in this competition. Our topic was Queen Velu Nachiyar of Tamilnadu. She was the first queen who revolted against the Britishers in 1780. We are proud to share that our presentation was highly appreciated and applauded at the interschool competition where over 19 schools from across Vadodara competed. Team Cygnus won the first position in this competition and made us all proud. The details of the participants are as follows:

The Cygnus family celebrates the success of Agastya Roy of Grade 2D at the Gujarat State level in March 2024 of a unique kind in Vadodara. In this competition involving skating and solving Rubik's cube simultaneously, he secured the runner-up position in the 2x2x2 category and merit positions in 4x4, 5x5, Meghaninx and Talent.

Dear Parents,
SOF (Science Olympiad Foundation) is an educational foundation, which promotes science, mathematics, general knowledge, introductory computer education and English language skills among school children through various Olympiads. Cygnus students enthusiastically participate in these Olympiads. In the academic year 2023-24 around 443 students enrolled for various Olympiads.
We are pleased to inform that 25 students of Grade 3 to 10 qualified for second level IEO, 26 students from Grade 3 to 10 qualified for second level NSO and 35 students of Grade 3 to 10 for second level IMO. All exams of Grade 1 and 2, NCO and ISSO results were finalized based on the exam conducted at school (First level). Dear Parents,
Taksh Patel of Grade 11 A makes us proud. This bright KenKen puzzle player of the school continues to shine in the world of KenKen Olympiad and proves his mettle time and again.
He recently participated in the "National Round of KenKen Math Olympiad – India Edition 2023" held at Mumbai University, Mumbai. We are proud to announce that he won the national round and appeared for the online international round in the month of March 2024 and won a gold medal and certificate. As a result of winning these rounds he was awarded with a trophy, certificate and a tour to NASA.

We are thrilled to share that another feather was added to the hat of Dhir Shah of Grade V A.
He participated in the National kickboxing championship, 2024 held in Pune, Maharashtra from 22nd to 26th May, 2024. He secured Gold medal in Point fight Event in Younger Cadets 10 to 13 years and Silver medal in Point fight team event in 10 to 13 years.

Yes! We celebrate the success of Snesha Shah of Grade 8 for winning the second position in the Epsilon Group and Shahaan D’almeida of Grade 7 for becoming the Budding Star Achiever in the Delta Group.
This was not as easy as it seems! The students navigated their way competing against 5000 students across India, through rigorous online rounds of Preliminaries, Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals and Pre-Finals before making it to the prestigious Grand Finale where only 127 students were selected.
We share this pride with their parents and teachers as well as the entire Cygnus family!

We celebrate how the Cygnites shine in the international skies!
4 Cygnites from Grades IX and XI had participated in the Cayley and Fermat contests conducted by The Centre for Education in Mathematics and Computing (CEMC), University of Waterloo, Canada last year.
2 of them secured a spot in the top 25% of students appearing for their respective contests worldwide and have been awarded a certificate of distinction and medal by CEMC.

On March 21, 2024, the Grade 5 graduation ceremony was held in the school auditorium, marking a significant milestone in the students' academic journey. A heartwarming farewell was given by the Grade 4 students, which included a variety of dances and beatboxing.
Adding a personal touch to the occasion, the Grade 5 teachers crafted personalized cards for each student. The presentation of these cards turned into a bittersweet moment filled with emotions.
The Grade 5 students, filled with a mix of excitement and nostalgia, looked forward to their educational journey leading to secondary education. The ceremony not only commemorated their achievements but also set a hopeful tone for their future endeavours.

We are overjoyed to share the tale of a trailblazer and an exemplary Cygnite, Aarav Khandelwal.
He has always lived by what we at Cygnus believe in- holistic development and giving everything the best shot. Unlike many others, who choose to give up on semi-academic or non-academic activities in their 10th grade, Aarav has been a part of various activities right through the year. He has represented the school in oratory events and radio programmes, been a part of the school team in meeting international delegates and as a part of prestigious projects like studying the Luxmi Villas Palace through Education Through Monuments. His schedules have been as busy as any other 10th grader, but time management and prioritizing has always helped him stay ahead of his game.
He has been inclined towards the German language right since grade 6 when he chose it as his third language. He recently participated in a video making and essay writing competition organised by Goethe - Institut, Max Mueller Bhavan Mumbai in collaboration with Gieseck+Devrient Stiftung. His short video on the topic, Stell dich vor und erzähl uns von deinem Lebenstraum” and an essay on the topic, Was können die Deutschen von deinem Land lernen und umgekehrt?” towered way above the others.
This won him a two-week scholarship for a German language course in Germany. Aarav will be at Goethe-Institute in Munich from July 5th until July 20th, 2024. Apart from learning German, he will also experience the country’s culture by attending attractive cultural events in and around Munich including a weekend excursion to the country’s capital, Berlin.
We are proud of him and wish to see him shine brighter in national and international skies!

Dear Parents,
This is to inform you that at Cygnus World School, our commitment to fostering diverse learning opportunities for our students remains unwavering. In pursuit of this objective, we introduced the elementary and intermediate drawing exams for students of grades 5 to 12, starting from the academic session of 2022-2023.
These exams serve as a platform to instill and cultivate an appreciation for art education amongst our young and ambitious learners. The exams are conducted annually by the Gujarat State Examination Board; they offer advantages to students aspiring to pursue Fine Arts, Design, Architecture, or Product Designing as their primary field of study.

दिनांक 10 दिसंबर 2023 को ‘अखिल भारतीय सर्वभाषा संस्कृति समन्वय समिति’ द्वारा ‘केरल साहित्य महोत्सव’ के उन्नीसवें अधिवेशन के समारोह में वडोदरा, गुजरात से ‘सिग्नस वर्ल्ड स्कूल’ की हिंदी शिक्षिका श्रीमती श्यामा सिंह को अहिंदी भाषी क्षेत्र में हिंदी भाषा की सेवा के लिए ‘संस्कृति समन्वय सम्मान’ प्रदान किया गया। कार्यक्रम में श्रीमती श्यामा सिंह के काव्य पाठ की भी अत्यंत सराहना हुई।

We are extremely proud to share that our bright 7th Graders Aum Trivedi and Srikant Chokshi were a part of the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp of Eureka Junior 2023 at IIT, Mumbai. They interacted with the best minds in the industry and have also started working on their own projects already. They got lessons on using LinkedIn, importance of body language and of course expert feedback including praise and constructive feedback on their ideas. They were appreciated by the expert panel. They are now brimming with ideas and knowledge about understanding the market, the need of the hour, innovation, inception and start-ups. We are proud to share that one of our students, Yatharth Gandhi studying in 8 D, has published his book called, Treasure Trove of Moral Stories. It is a collection of eleven stories with morals and he has done justice to various genres in it. The book is available online at Amazon and flipkart.
His inspiration has been his parents and also a productive use of time during the lockdown. Not only writing, he is also into solving WCA cubes and is registered for the India and Asia records for his book and fastest seven official WCA cube solving.

We wish to share that Vansh Patel a student of Grade 11 recently participated in the International Youth Math Challenge (IYMC). It’s was a three-round competition. We are extremely proud to announce that Vansh not only successfully navigated through all the three levels but also won a Bronze Honour in the final round.
The International Youth Math Challenge (IYMC) is an international mathematics competition that enables students from all countries to prove their math skills and to unleash their creativity. There are multiple problems and questions in IYMC from a variety of mathematical areas like Number theory, Calculus, Geometry, statistics, Algebra, Combinatorics and more.

At Cheviot Kids, we believe that our children are a powerhouse of unfathomable talent that succors them to reach for the stars. In a competition hosted by Tender Feet Academy, our children participated in the salad making category, whipping up a storm of nutritious and delectable salads using an array of vibrant fruits and vegetables. Swara Vakharia (Brownies) procured the 1st position and Vriha Shah (Brownies) bagged 3rd place. In the Clay moulding category Twisha Parikh and Shaanvi Pandya (Elves) won a consolation by making a tic tac toe with a twist. With tiny hands and boundless creativity, our young champions proved their skills on the healthier side as well as on the artistic front. We are super proud of their achievements.
We are extremely proud to share that 2 of our students from Grade IX, Siddhant Kharnare and Anish Maheshwari have successfully completed the qualifying round of The International Youth Math Challenge (IYMC) and have qualified for the pre final round.
The International Youth Math Challenge (IYMC) is an international mathematics competition that enables students from all countries to prove their math skills and to unleash their creativity. There are multiple problems and questions in IYMC from a variety of Mathematical areas like Number theory, Calculus, Geometry, Statistics, Algebra, Combinatorics and more.

The achievements of Dashmesh Singh Saini, who secured 1st position and Anika Purani who bagged the 3rd prize, in the Clay Modelling Competition organized by New Era School, stand as a profound example to the emerging opportunities and exposure that Cheviot Kids provides. Their portrayal of an underwater world brimming with marine life left the audience mesmerized. The judges applauded the children’s attention to detail and unique vision. It was a testament to the boundless imagination that young minds can offer when given the chance to flourish. These young talents have demonstrated that creativity knows no age limits and that, given the right guidance and encouragement, children can achieve extraordinary heights. We are so delighted to have such amazing artists in our school.
Tiny Feet, Big Moves: Nursery Grade Dancers secured 3rd place with "An Ode to a Loved One". In a heartwarming display of talent and emotions, our youngest dance prodigies wowed the audience and judges alike, securing the 3rd position in the prestigious "An Ode to a Loved One" themed dance competition, held in Tender Feet Academy , in which they paid their tribute to Lord Ganesha. With twinkling eyes and boundless enthusiasm, the nursery-grade sensations, namely Niyara Niranjan Nadgouda, Jaanya Singh, Riddhi Shahdadpuri, Myra Sanket Ghumra, Zenisha Vijay Thakwani and Anshi Harsh Shah stole the hearts of everyone in attendance. With their graceful and emotional performance, the Pixies superstars, proved that age is no barrier when it comes to grooves and passion. The audience could feel the love and dedication that went into every step, twirl, and expression. We are super proud of them.
In a world filled with talent and ambition, standing out amongst the best is a monumental achievement. We are thrilled to share the incredible journey of our Nano poets namely, Myra Ghumra (Pixies), Shloka Thakkar (Elves), Shivay Dighe (Elves), Bhagya Khimani (Brownies), Purav Shah (Brownies), Vaani Upadhya (Brownies), Kabir Jaiswal (Brownies), Amyara Patel (Brownies) who secured the 2nd position in the prestigious group singing competition on the topic love and blessings of family. We wish to inform you that Cygnus students had recently participated in “Confluence 2023- Pariyojna: Community Service Programme” organized by CMS Lucknow. A team of 10 students and 2 teachers of Cygnus World School worked for a period of 4 months on a project, “Unbox the Colour Code: Accept the Differences’ for presentation at Confluence, CMS Lucknow. It included two projects, “Naari ki Sawari and DNA: Definitions Not applicable”. They were devised to tackle gender stereotypes. We are proud to share that the project submission and presentation was highly appreciated and applauded at the interschool competition where over 60 schools from across the globe competed. In Grade X, 19.4% of our students have scored above 90% and 34% students have scored between 80 – 90% marks. We congratulate our School Toppers Suhani Patel for securing 96.6%, Vishwam Bhatt for securing 95.4% and Saksham Tiwari for securing 94.8% marks.

This is to inform you that CENTA (Centre for Teacher Accreditation) is an organization which aims for making teaching a more aspirational profession. CENTA organizes international level Olympiads in various subjects and many certification courses for the teachers across the globe every year.
We are happy to announce that Ms. Smita Debata, Teacher at Cygnus had participated in “CENTA TPO” organized in 2 phases (one MCQ and two video interviews), not only qualified the Olympiad but also managed to win the prestigious CENTA TQ (Teaching Quotient) badge and also qualified for the International Level Teaching Professionals’ Olympiad. The International level Olympiad will be conducted towards the end of February 2023. Its indeed a wonderful achievement.

It is a proud moment for all of us that Ms. Hetal Pandya a teacher of Cygnus World School, had organised her first solo Abstract Art Exhibition on 5th February, 2023 at the Splatter Art Gallery, Vadodara where she had displayed 25 abstract acrylic paintings. It received an overwhelming response from the public and everyone appreciated the creative pieces on display.
Earlier this year, a book titled - 'Mutiny of Mind', sold above 5k copies worldwide via Amazon in which poems written by her can be found.

On the 74th Republic Day, 26th January, 2023, Ms. Nitu Masand a teacher of Cygnus World School had participated in an endurance cycling ride from Vadodara to Statue of Unity organized by the Pedaling4Fitness group. 175 members had participated and in this event.

Cygnus World School had organised the 5 th edition of "The Cygnus Tournament - Creating the Champions of Tomorrow" from 20th to 23rd December 2022 for Badminton, Basketball and Football. Over 686 students from across 20 schools in Vadodara competed in the under 12, under 14 and
under 19 boys and girls categories to prove their might and skill.
The participants and their coaches appreciated the hospitality of Cygnus World School and the organised and fair manner in which the competitions were conducted. We are proud to announce that in the team games, our Cygnus Basketball under 14 boys and Football under 14 girls lifted the Champions trophy in this event. Our under 19 Football girls and under 14 Basketball girls lifted Runners up trophies in this event.
In Badminton under 19 boys, participants of Cygnus Secured the first position as well as the first runners-up position. In under 14 boys category, we became the winners in singles and doubles. In under 14 doubles category, we managed to get the winners position and first runner-up position.
We celebrate the success of this event and thank all the participating schools for extending their
cooperation and sportsmanship.

We are glad to share that while others were relaxing and enjoying the Diwali vacation, there were some students who were practicing hard and doing rigorous training for the Gujarat State Basketball Championship.
Jay Savani 8-D and Dhrupad Pant 8-B from the Boys team and Prisha Ramani 8-C and Nitya Agrawal 8-D from the Girls team were selected to play for the Baroda team.
The tournament was held from 30th October to 2nd November at Ahmedabad.
We are ecstatic to announce that our Baroda Girls team won the State Championship title and the Boys team secured the Runners-up trophy.
And the cherry on the cake is that both the girls, Prisha & Nitya, have been selected to play for the Nationals in this tournament. The Nationals tournament will be held at Himachal Pradesh from 11th to 22nd November.
Kudos to our players for bringing laurels to our school and Congratulations to Mr. Digvijaysinh Zala, Mr. Pratik Macwan and Mr. Kunal Parmar for this marvelous achievement.

He was a part of the performing troupe from Shiv Sadhana Nrutya and Sangeet Academy at the International Cultural Conclave 2022 in Dubai from 12th to 18th August 2022. His group won the 1st prize competing against many participants from across the globe who presented cultural dance and musical performances. His group had performed a musical extravaganza on Gujarati folk songs.

It is a proud moment for all of us, the Cygnus Under 14 Football Boys’ team has reached the semi-finals in The Subroto Mukherjee State Championship.
Our boys are representing Vadodara city and are playing in the semi-finals in Bhavnagar tomorrow.
They played their very 1st match against Kutch district and won by 5-0. Today they played against Patan District and won by 2-1.

Cygnus World School organized workshops for students based on the Entrepreneurship Week Project. Ashmita Ukil (Gr XII) took up the session with Grade 7 on Tavdi Art. Mr Aashish Desai, heading the Training and Placement Cell at PP Savani University threw some light on how to come up with innovative concepts about launching a product.
Believing in the statement that there are no true shortcuts to real success, Avin prepared for the EJU (Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students). He also started studying Japanese language and worked hard to achieve his goal. As a result, he received offers from three prestigious Universities of Japan. Later, to his surprise he got selected for the ‘Presidential Scholarship with 100% Fee waiver’. Currently he is enrolled in Tohoku University, which is amongst the top universities in Japan for ‘International Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering’ course.
He sincerely gives credit to his parents and teachers of Cygnus World School for this success. According to him, they provided him a plethora of opportunities that boosted his confidence. He will be grateful forever to his parents and teachers for believing in him.

We are pleased to inform you that Parisha Vaghela of grade 8-B participated in the 1st Mahaveer Cup Open National Taekwondo Championship 2022 in the under 14 girls category- Kyorogi (fight) held at Kutch, Gandhidham on 18th June '22 and won a Gold Medal.
She is the first player in Vadodara to play using an electronic scoring system consisting of body armor fitted with electronic body protector sensors that registers kicks and punches if applied with sufficient force.

Cygnus World School would like to share that Arjun Parikh of 6-B with a group of Students from Shiv Sadhana Nrutya Sangeet Academy, Vadodara were invited to participate in an International Culture Fest in Marmaris, Turkey in the month of May 2022.
Arjun played the Octapad with his group and performed various Gujarati folk songs. They got an opportunity to meet the Governor of Marmaris, Turkey and were also able to interact with the performers from other countries.

Anushka Jha, of Grade 10 B of Cygnus World School has proved this. She secured the 20th All India Rank in the STEM Quiz which is an extraordinary achievement. The test was conducted by Waran's Academy of Excellence in association with Education Overseas Academy, Melbourne Australia.
She will have an opportunity to interact with the top Australian Universities with consideration for Scholarships. She had registered for the same, through the school in the month of January.
We appreciate Anushka’s interest, involvement and the focus she depicts.

Cygnus World School is delighted to announce that Ayesha Bali (Grade 9-B) and Ishan Bali (Grade 6-D), had participated to set the Guinness World Record of "Most number of people solving rotating puzzle online simultaneously" and were successful in achieving the same. This is visible on the official Guinness World Record website, and following is the link for the same:
This was a mass record, however individual times were noted and only the kids who achieved it on time were approved for the record. The scramble for the Rubik's cube was given by Guinness, and it had to be solved by kids in record time. Both Ayesha and Ishan were successful in achieving this.

At the Young India Leadership Program, participants (IX to XII and VI to VIII) took part in a variety of exciting competition rounds and thought-provoking seminars which encompassed a period of almost three months. Over 500 students from 50 of the country's leading schools participated in the programme at its inception, which aimed to broaden students' understanding of the phrase "leadership."
Students were expected to examine global concerns that are impeding progress and to come up with solutions for these problems in group discussions. Followed by a personal interview round, in which participants were given a series of thought-provoking questions in order to understand the depth in their thought process.
After passing the selection criteria, 300 students were chosen to participate in 'The Finale' ACES, in which they were tasked with creating their own nation, defending an accused leader, building their own consumer brand and demonstrating their creativity and language abilities.
Students of Cygnus World School (Pratul and Ruchi from Junior & Prushti, Ali, Sitara and Vaishnavi from the senior category) reached the Final ACES round.
Prushti has received a runners-up certificate. She stood among the top 10 students in the senior category who reached the final of the FINALE ACES round.
It was a great learning experience for all the students. We highly appreciate all of them, for being consistent & persistent to reach up to whichever level they could.

Cygnus World School would like to share with you an incredible & the inspirational journey of Ranvir Shah who is presently in grade 3-C in this academic session.
During the lockdown Ranvir started growing his hair, as everything was online there were no restrictions. It grew to a point where Ranvir & his parents decided to contribute towards a noble cause. His parents contacted an NGO called “Coping with Cancer” who informed them that Ranvir could donate his hair for making wigs for cancer patients. The minimum length required for donating the hair was 12 inches. With special permission from school and with Ranvir's patience to bear with such long hair for 2 years in the hot and humid temperatures, he finally touched the magic number of 12 inches.
We are hereby sharing with you the certificate and a before and after picture of Ranvir. We hope this inspires others, kids and adults alike, of schools way beyond Cygnus, to become aware of one of the many problems faced daily by millions of cancer patients. Also to give them a chance to donate something which doesn't take any great efforts or money or cause any pain to the donor.
We are extremely proud of Ranvir, who being so young has made such a huge impact in someone’s life.
Children of Cheviot Kids had participated in 'The Pinnacle’ an Interschool competition organized by Cheviot Kids. They performed exceptionally well and had earned certificates and medals in various categories such as competitions like Shloka Recitation, Pair up with puppets (Senior KG), Trash to treasure, Around the world (fancy dress) (Junior KG), No pain no gain and Nanhe Kavi (Nursery).
Jenny R. Ramchandani of Pixies had participated in Drawing & Painting and Handwriting Competition organized by National Education and Human Resource Development Organisation (NEHRDO).
Shrija Pawar of Brownies-A had been awarded a certificate of Meritorious Performance in English, Math and Science, International Junior Olympiad conducted by NOF. She was awarded with Class Rank - 1 in all three subjects.

Meet the Brand Ambassador of Exchange Programs at Cygnus - Dhanshri Gajjar XI –C
An opportunity of a lifetime was availed by our Grade 11 Humanities student, Dhanshri Gajjar. She went on a short – term (two months) AFS student cultural exchange programme to Italy from 16th December, 2021 to 17th February, 2022. It was possibly one of the best ways to experience international education and develop a global perspective. She came back with a life-enriching experience.
Within a short span of 2 months we can see Dhanshri as a transformed individual full of confidence & very high self-esteem.

Cygnus World School is committed to opening various new learning platforms for our students. Therefore, we have introduced the Elementary and Intermediate drawing exams for our students of Grade 5 to 12 from the academic session 2021-2022 onwards.
The Elementary/ Intermediate exams are instituted with the idea of encouraging and developing an interest in art education amongst young aspiring individuals. It is conducted through the Gujarat State Examination Board, each year. It is beneficial to the students who seek admissions in the college of Fine Arts, Design, Architecture or Product Designing as their main stream. Extra marks are credited to students on the basis of the grade they achieve in these exams.
It is with pride that we announce the first result of these exams of our school’s students of this year:
